The Psychotic fascination again

So I did promise you I'd b back with another list, hell trust me this is getting harder than I thought it would, so if I do miss out any excellent ones let me know so I can continue with my addiction.

  • Shutter Island: An excellent movie in every respect, its complex and puzzling and since its a period piece it feels like its a homage to the movies by Alfred Hitchcock that introduced us to this genre, one thing I must tell you.....you skip a beat, you're lost.....this demands your undivided attention and on a further note INTELLIGENCE.
  • The Butterfly Effect: I know what most of you are thinking 'DAFAQ is wrong with this woman?' I hate Ashton Kutcher and will agree that the movie was a very badly made one and the acting is fucking agony but watch it for the idea and the thought which was at least for me very intriguing.
  • Silence of the lambs: People would kill me if I didn't put this movie on the list, One of the best movies ever made......this movie will definitely creep you to the bone with it's intense blend of horror, crime and mystery. I could give you endless reasons to watch this movie but the strongest point would be the acting......Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins immortalised their characters.....Clarice Sterling and Dr. Hannibal Lecter and if you don't feel a little shiver when you hear this name after having watched this movie.......I'll be damned.
  • Memento: The one movie that made everything look simpler.......Christopher Nolan's narrative of an anterograde amnesia victim played by Guy Pearce out to avenge the death of his wife, it is an innovation in film making and a brilliant movie of our time that established this genius director.
  • Basic Instinct: When I first watched this movie........I was simply shocked out of my wits to say the least....it has some of the most controversial scenes of cinema but is still a movie that lives up to it's repute. One word about Sharon Stone......her character of a deeply disturbing writer who goes out of the way to create those murder mystery plots.....god so fucked up....you'd doubt anyone could play it.
  • Black Swan: I did not understand the hype this movie generated.....it was a particularly creepy movie backed by excellent performances and particularly great film making but the story was nothing as such that created a thriller......but Natalie Portman paints a tragic picture of a schizophrenic ballerina.
  • Se7en: A psychopath who bases his murders on the seven deadly sins......a young and restless investigator (Brad Pitt) under the tutelage of an experienced one (Morgan Freeman).......it qualifies as one of the best psychological thrillers of all time and god these people can do it all....from seemingly nothing to a shocking twist.
  • Identity: I don't like John Cusack and did not really expect much when I saw this movie but I must say it pleasantly surprised me. Ten strangers in a Nevada motel notice they are getting bumped off one by one....think its normal....watch this movie for the great storyline.
  • Cape fear: Robert De Niro and Martin Scorcese can only create magic onscreen and this one is no exception and can I say this is way way better than the 1962 movie,  Sam Bowden and Max Cady will stay with you forever.
  • Primal Fear: I'm not sure if this really qualifies but trust me Edward Norton's haunting portrayal of an innocent altar boy who is accused of murder and then starts to reveal his true shades made it difficult for me to see him as anyone else. Richard Gere is great too as the attorney who fights tooth and nail to defend him.
  • The Prestige: Ohhhh SHUT UP! Sure it stars Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale and is made by Christopher Nolan but that is not it's only merit....excellent story about two rival magicians out to make each others life hell, excellent acting by my two favourites :* and superb scenes. So if you haven't watched this one just shush.........
These are the movies I have thoroughly enjoyed and inspired me to watch more and more.....there's a lot more to this genre than you can expect and there are many movies like natural born killers, vanilla sky, the rear window, dial M for murder, shining etc; which are equally enticing the best one undoubtedly Psycho no arguments about that one ......one movie I'd like to add is the Dark Knight simply cause Heath Ledger's psychotic JOKER was sooooooo mesmerising I forgot Christian Bale for a while can you imagine?! :O. So if I have succeeded in generating a fragment of your interest to my true love than maybe the next movie I'm looking forward to watching is an old classic FREAKS!

Signing off with Red Lights and the only actor who can hold it Robert Di Niro
